This study location is horribly disorganized. I don't want to blame the staff because it sounds like they are extremely understaffed for how many subjects they are admitting at a time. Their shifts sound like nightmares. But the way this facility is run is unacceptable.

To begin with, the front desk and study recruitment staff took months to return the multiple voice mails that I left about enrollment. Trying to get in touch with anyone at this facility is nearly impossible.

Now that I am finished with the inpatient portion of my study I have received no details about the follow up appointment that is a condition for receiving the study bonus, a hefty 2k sum. I have asked multiple staff members before I left when the appointment would be but got no definitive answer. After getting discharged I have called every single day and still have no more information than I did before. They seem to be in no hurry to let subjects know when they need to fulfill all visits.

During the study the staff were so unbelievably inconsistent with bringing our meals. There were multiple days that they forgot to give us breakfast and snacks for that day. Even after it was brought to their attention it took them sometimes an hour to remedy the situation. For some reason there were no lids for the provided water bottles and no one I asked seemed to have any idea why. I and another subject spilled water in our beds at one point and another spilled on the floor. For the first 3 days of our stay 2 of the shower rooms were out of order, while there were 16 subjects sharing. During a two week stay they also only escorted us outside once even though we had multiple days with no scheduled assessments and plenty of time for someone to let us outside for even just 15 minutes.

Do better. Your subjects are people who deserve to be treated better. There is no excuse.

Hello, I would like my message to reach the right person. My name is Daiane da Silva (DDM), I am in a 25-day study here in Salt Lake City, and I would like to say right away that this is my second time at the center and I am very happy to participate as a volunteer. I am Brazilian and have lived here in šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø for 6 years and I try to do everything right in this country. And participating in the studies allows me to help my family in Brazil and also pay for my studies here. In fact, it allows me to make a dream come true. But I am here to leave my references for some employees. I am sure that they make things possible here. I went through a difficult time on the day of the blood collection dose, as I have been here for 20 days, and the body has its reactions, despite having good veins, unfortunately this happened. But the nurses Erin, Ryan U, Ryan H. ,Brett, Jenna, Kayla, jaycee, John, Kayla, Jess, Mark, Ghassan, Emily A, Katherine and James Adam. were extremely committed and careful with me. They made me feel at ease because I clearly knew that I was in the hands of qualified professionals. In addition to my coordinator Logan, who was extremely attentive and kind from the beginning. In addition to the team responsible for triage, all the girls there are great. I know I do my part, but professionals like these also deserve our recognition. So, I would like to express my immense gratitude to everyone and ask that this genuine thanks reach them. If I forgot anyone's name, please forgive me. Thank you very much to everyone... I hope I can come back šŸ™‚

I screened February 14 and still haven’t been paid! I spoke to countless people and supervisors assuring we would be paid soon and still haven’t. I know the people who response to this will say I’m sorry send a message on their social media but at this point I really want to contact a lawyer. It’s such a small amount to pay out why has been 1.5 months and hasn’t been compensated. I don’t care about staff turnover and all the excuses I been getting for over a month now! When I screened the lady said we could’ve even paid as fast as that day but could be up to 30 days. That has long past!

Hey!
ICON will work with you if you work with them!
I did my first study here and ICON was open to working with me, even when I didn’t have the best experience in my overnight position! (I mean by feeling a lil uncomfortable because I was from out of state and didn’t have any friends there..otherwise staff was so nice)

I talked to them after my experience and staff decided in my favor to continue to work with me!
I also cooperated with them and explained to them the complaints I had after leaving and they took it into consideration instead of being rude to me! I like that! They also gave me a review and said I was nice and that my intentions seemed good and not malicious! I just didn’t really follow through with being able to NOT create content while at the facility, which we talked about and they understood me: & for that we decided to forgive and forget!

Thank you! For that I’ll say this company has some good integrity! Just like me! We’re on the same page!

Update: I was paid 15 days after my dispatch the amount I was told! Everything went smooth! Once again, this company could had banned me, but they didn’t! They gave me options! Nice of them! I will return back here! I also wanna go to their other 2 locations! My intentions are clear, I think this is a good cause to save lives and help the process of finding cures and remedies for diagnosis! Thanks once again! Management rocks!

Btw, I was a backup, there was 22 ppl in my study, 18 was dosing, a few ppl dropped out, I was used as a backup! There were 4 girls, 14 guys… & the study was 2 weeks in house! We lasted through! Make sure to bring extra entertainment btw & a warm blanket!

My first study here was a great stay I thought the staff was really nice and professional. I think it was clean, the only thing I wasn't to fond of was some of their lunch items and wish the pay out was a bit faster but it wasn't horrible timing. They gave 3 meals and 2 snacks which I was impressed with. I would definitely participate in a study here again !

Been over a month in fact it’s been 1.5 months. When I screened I was told we could be paid by end of day but they also have up to 30 days to pay. Well that haven’t paid. I’ve called 7 times last few times I can’t reach anyone. When I did reach a person they connected me to the supposed manager of the department he said that we should be able to get paid by weeks in that was over two weeks ago. Then the last time I spoke with him, he told me that they had something to do with their staffing change or some nonsense excuse but we should get paid by that day or the next day that was last Wednesday here we are into another week and still have not been paid so it’s going closer to almost a month no. Don’t like getting the run around and not getting paid. Wouldn’t recommend going to this facility.

Super shady company. I could tell right when I walked in they just want to make as much money as they can off you. Don’t sign the forms they give you. They just want to sell your medical and personal and medical history to other company’s and use you as a lab rat. They also took my blood to see if I had a special gene they were looking for and said they’d give me $50 for testing and never saw a dime. Stay away from this place at all cost.

I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time trying to participate in a study. This is a VERY unprofessional company! When I did the phone screening they said I was disqualified because I did not weigh enough. So I gained a fair amount of weight in order to qualify for another study. When I went in for a different screening they have you sit in their lobby for hours before even have you fill out any paperwork. When I did get in they said my weight still wasn't high enough, even though the phone screening person said it was fine. They disqualified me for things that weren't even mentioned on the phone screening. They need to have FAR better phone screening questions so that people don't WASTE their time coming in and sitting in their office ALL day when they were led to believe they have a chance. Seriously, DON'T waste your precious time playing their silly games! I now have to LOSE all that weight they told me to gain! I am grateful though that I did not get selected, because having to be stuck in their facility for a week with that kind of game playing would have driven me CRAZY!
