Purchased my 2017 VFR1200X with Rice a few weeks ago and had a great experience. Clayton was a great salesman and helped me with the trade-in process with another bike I exchanged for the VFR. Great experience with the finance and service team as well. Great place overall! I've already put the bike to off-pavement use!

Spoke with Garrett Rice today, after realizing I had a response from him 5 months ago. He showed sincere concern about the situation that happened and wished he had been a part of it at the time of the incident. He is willing to make things right to regain my business, which I do appreciate. I do struggle with how receptive his service department would be with how we parted ways in the past. I also worry how my bike would be treated for that same reason. So whether I return to them for future service work is up in the air still. He again did show genuine concern for the situation and how it was handled. If you have any issues ask for him and he will try to make things right.

DO Not HAVE YOUR BIKE SERVICED HERE!!!
Brought my bike to them to have them diagnose a stall while riding problem. After a couple days they called and said it was a bad fuel pump. I didn’t have the funds to purchase a Honda fuel pump, so I told them I’d come down and pick it up and pay what fees I owed. When I picked up my bike the battery was dead, I went inside and told them and they pulled it inside again. After waiting for ten minutes I asked what was wrong, they said they had to charge the battery as someone left the key on. I have a lithium ion battery in my bike, they are not supposed to be fully depleted for long periods of time. My battery was dead for over a week, when I asked how long it would take. They rudely said “ however long it takes.” We left and got a call 45 minutes later saying my battery was charged. Went back to them and asked if they would replace the battery if it goes bad due to their neglect, they bluntly said no. After I loaded my bike I turned the key on and noticed that my fuel light was on, when I dropped it off it had a full tank. I went back inside and asked if they were going to reimburse for the fuel they dumped out, they again rudely said no and told me to leave. When I got home I replaced the fuel pump and my bike did the same thing I asked them to diagnose. As I was disassembling my bike I noticed that all my fasteners were stripped out. The tech at Rice used the wrong tool to remove them and now need to be replaced. DO NOT USE FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICE!! THEY WILL RUIN YOUR BIKE AND GIVE YOU A BAD DIAGNOSIS WHILE GIVING YOU THE BOOT OUT THE DOOR AND TAKE UOUR MONEY.

Purchased my 17 CBR1000RR from them a few years ago. Very easy to work worth and a great selection.

We went to Rice Rapid Motorsports, because we wanted to support a local business and it was said that they were highly rated in customer satisfaction.
We are sorry to report that wasn’t true at all.
Not only did they lose our business forever (we were going to go back for an adventure bike for the hubby) but we also won’t recommend them to anyone!
Here is what happened: I recently did my motorcycle license and wanted to get a starter bike. I had only sat on and practiced riding a Royal Enfield 350 but initially thought I could potentially handle a HD Sportster. So I went to Rice Sports and fell in love with the look of a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. Andy, the sales person, was very eager to make the sell and even though I did mention that I was bit afraid of the size of the bike (quite a bit bigger then the Enfield) he thought I would stretch into it and I wanted to believe him and so I bought the bike. Not even 4 days after the buy, I had gone practicing in the neighborhood a couple of times and put less then 2 miles on the bike, I realized that it was just too big and so I called asking if I could trade it in for the Royal Enfield that was listed at roughly the same price as the Honda.
After much back and forth, they informed me it would cost me an additional 1200 $ to make the trade! $1200!
How is that fair or a business geared towards high costumer satisfaction? I would have been happy to pay a few hundred bucks extra plus the paper work, but 1200 bucks for a bike that has essentially the same value?
It seems all they care is their bottom line and to sell at any costs.
When my husband went back to get the title, Andy wouldn’t even make eye contact and he quickly turned his head - he knows that it wasn’t right what they did.
I told the story to some friends in the biker community and they too were appalled at the treatment I received.
I’m extremely disappointed and hope my story will save other costumers from a similar fate and go support a business that actually deserves it.

I am super excited that I stopped in at Rice's powersports in rapid City and talked to Donny. He was a great salesman he answered all my questions about the CFMOTO 450 IBEX adventure bike. This bike is amazing I got rid of my KLX dirt bike to enjoy the adventure riding group.

I ordered some accessories from the parts department, I walked around and met the people at service and in the warranty department. This dealership has got it going on they have a lot of great things going for them it's a big dealership they have all kinds of manufacturer brands makes and models.

As a recent customer, I would highly recommend Rice’s To anyone looking to purchase a motorcycle, ATV, UTV, or even a boat! Their staff are super friendly and helpful and put us into just the right TV for our family! They are very professional and we didn’t have to spend the whole day there doing paperwork. They are fast and efficient. Since we didn’t have a truck, they delivered our UTV The next day for a very small fee and within a week or so after our purchase, we had our title papers in the mail!
