It's a beautiful museum. Not big but full of charm. Parking is free on the weekends.
The auditorium shows different documentaries throughout the day. There are many natural and human exhibits that you can touch, but the poor polar bear statue on the second floor with the sign saying DO NOT TOUCH is been rubbed into a brown bear ?

This is one of the better museums in Fairbanks. There is a small fee to enter <$20. Many artifacts from the region were well displayed, fascinating. It is better to spend 3-4 hours at the museum because it has 3 different 15 minute movies showing at the hour, well worth the time to be there.

Good, the museum has a lot of information. Can be long/short. It just depends if you stop and read the descriptions or not.
You do have to pay for parking outside, and the museum tickets are $20 per adult.
You can pay for parking using the machines outside, but if they are out of paper or order, you have to pay using an app called passport. To find the "zone code" that is needed to pay for the parking, you will look on the parking sign for it then put the zone code in the app before you can enter your liscene plate number and pay.

The museum also plays short films in the auditorium at different times, which are free to see. They have a cafe, a sound room, and an upstairs art gallery.

It's cool to see all the things they offer.
My group stayed for 4 hours. I visited late September on a weekday, and it wasn't busy, which is nice.

The Museum of the North was a great visit for our group. The exhibits beautifully showcase Alaska’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty. We enjoyed the 30 minute movie about the Aurora. The building itself is architecturally stunning, and the views of the surrounding landscape are breathtaking. Whether you're a history buff, an art lover, or simply curious about Alaska, this museum is worth the visit.

Great museum to see if you're visiting Alaska. Lots of information about the state, area and wildlife. Several interactive displays and a nice lay out to the museum. Not an overly large one but worth the stop.

Very good museum all about Alaska. Three films were on rotation in the auditorium and they were all pretty good and included with admission. There’s something for all ages. There’s a totem pole and old Russian settlement blockhouse outside to see, too. Admission is reasonable and the crowds weren’t too busy on a Monday in mid-June. The blue bus line has a stop right street the museum so it’s easy to get to/from, though don’t expect the bus to be on time. I’d recommend several hours, 5+ if you want to watch all the films.

Place we go to listen is real time mapping of weather events to tone. Amazing integration with nature and really interesting clip to the far right, on the button panel, regarding the artists' inspiration and goals. Impeccably Alaskan. The best place on earth #one Also link between Eskimo and Mayans is palpable in the upstairs gallery #IxChel#Yupik
