Spoke with Jonathan -- we have worked through this situation for the good of everyone involved. As a result I am adjusting this to a 5 star from a 1 star. Companies that take the time to work with there clients show they care. We are now back on good terms.

Simpson Printing has always been an awesome place to do business until now. I have spent hundreds of dollars on services from them but that has come to an abrupt end as of last WEd. Here's why.

I had a special order done. At first, I thought it odd that they didn't want to quote the job but before I left they did. This was not the issue.

My request was for a special print on about 100 postcards. They advised that there would be some card loss due to setting the printer. Once they explained this I was okay with the idea.

In a timely fashion I received a call letting me know that several cards did not get printed because it was above the number. My suggestion was to print on the blanks and I would pick everything up.

Then I came up with a brilliant idea. Why not have our business address also printed on the cards. They agreed and I waited longer for the prints to arrive. When I was called to come get the cards there was an additional 10 bad ones because the address had been printed on the bottom instead of the top. I accepted, paid, and then had a question that went like...

If they could find the upside down cards after the print why were they unable to find them before the print. I called and asked this question. The person I spoke to agreed that such should have happened and suggested that they pay for those 10 misprints. I was very impressed and went to pick up my money which was something below $10. At this point I'm a very happy and satisfied customer.

A couple days later I decided to run another hundred postcards and Simpson printing was my "GO TO" given that they had done an awesome job on my order. It was at this point that everything took a sharp 180.

Hi - I'd like to place an order for another 100 postcards, I said.
We don't do work for you anymore, came the response.
What? - I said.
You made us pay you back for the postcards faced in the wrong direction.
Actually, I had only called to ask a question that Simpson printing took personal responsibility for handling by offering to pay for the postage. I had only called to inquire as to why they could not have found the mistake pre-print that they found after the print. I wasn't expecting anything but when Simpson Printing offered I accepted.

Now I was being told that I could no longer use Simpson Printing because I forced them to pay back for misprints. I had never done that. But when it was suggested I did accept.

I've never had an experience like this with a business before. Not only am I shocked but they lost a client who has spent hundreds of dollars on their services for an issue that cost less that $10.

I'm a local artist and Simpsons is the only place I trust to get my prints done right. I've worked at printing presses before and know how it is to work with very particular artists with low count print runs, but Kayla and Katiri always go out of their way to take care of me. They even have fine art paper available for limited edition print runs or other higher quality art printing. LOVE Simpsons, will never go anywhere else!
