MARI gave me an opportunity to conduct research this summer. I learned a lot about research writing, scientific methods, and presentation skills through MARI's workshops (taught by some fantastic teachers!). As a high school student, research opportunities for us is minimal. I also had a very supportive mentor who assisted and guided me when I felt lost. I also made some amazing friends this summer. I would like to thank the MARI team again for making this possible.

Going into MARI Youth, I wasn't sure as to how legitimate the experience would be or what kind of an atmosphere I would be receiving. However, after completing projects with them I can undoubtedly say that this will always be a memorable experience for me. Not only did I get to meet an awesome group of directors, managers, and mentors, but also got the opportunity to learn so much new information regarding research and the importance of a collaborative work-ethic. Coming into research as a high schooler with little background knowledge, MARI ensured that I was aware of what I was doing every step of the way through mentor meetings and workshops.

I completed the MARI Youth REMY program this summer and it was absolutely amazing! I was able to work with a small group with a mentor and MARI Directors to create a research poster and article detailing the effects of COVID-19 on the mental health of teens around the world. There were amazing workshops that helped me expand and learn skills in data collection, writing, analysis and research. The mentors helped us delve more into these concepts and it was an enjoyable experience. Not only did I learn, but I had fun! There were discussions and group meetings, kahoots and a great sense of community! I loved being apart of this program and would definitely participate in the next project!

I recently participated in one of MARI Youth's project and I have to say that it was an excellent experience! Not only did I gain a deeper understanding of mental health and shared that profound knowledge with others, but I formed new relationships with other students throughout the process. I would definitely do it again to spread awareness on topics not addressed enough of!

This is an amazing organization! Everyone is so nice and wonderful and always willing to help! I have learned a lot about different medical conditions and common diseases that get misdiagnosed.
