Not a bad trail, but just not much to see. No bluffs, no river, no caves (at least not along the trail), no noteworthy wildlife – just a basic trail through the woods. Decent amount of elevation change, not crowded even on a beautiful weekend, lots of mosquitos (even in mid-October. There’s a bridge over the creek and a short boardwalk at the trailhead which is probably the most scenic part.

Again, not a bad trail, just very basic and probably not worth going out of your way for when there are probably better options close by.

Beautiful, and shaded, hike that’s moderate in difficulty. The trail is rocky so bring good shoes. The loop is 3 miles if you stick to the trail. I went in August and the creek was pretty dried up. Definitely coming back out here in the spring!

Nice area. I went to look for a place to hunt turkey. Steep terrain but real nice views. Glades, timber and creek.

Labarque Creek Conservation area is one of my favorite trails to walk. It's challenging. It has deep slopes and high foothills to walk. There are water features and a lot of foliage. It's quiet and never crowded. At approximately 3 miles to walk the entire loop, I can't ask for much more.

We visited late in the day so didn't have time to follow the entire trail. But we were impressed by the scenery, and will return another day. Looks like it will be a good hike.

This park is certainly a hidden gem in an area with a good amount of state parks to explore. This one's a bit more off the beaten path, and would be VERY easy to miss. The parking lot is a nondescript gravel area with some benches and wildflowers.

The trail is a pretty long loop, so be ready to commit! There's a good amount of hills and descents, along with an array of scenic views. I'd highly recommend going a few days after a good rain. Plenty of water features that were, unfortunately when we went, pretty much dry. There are some spots with poison ivy growing right up against the trail, so pants or a good eye are in order.

This is another absolutely breathtaking trail less than an hour outside of St. Louis. There's a fair amount of topography, but some of the views from the hill tops are incredible. Definitely worth checking out!

Beautiful woods and Great hike but definitely muddy and a lot of deep inclines. About a 4 mile loop with only one trail. We brought my friends dog and she loved it but I don't recommend bringing kids. Overall great experience!
