I just experienced the craziest thing today at the thrift store in Butler towards the south end of town. My youngest (which is literally between 2-3 years old) had picked up a chapter book laying on a table. Had a whole conversation with the lady checking us out about how it was funny she wanted a book for an adult. Then, AFTER we check out and go to leave, another lady asked if it was apart of a set. I said I had no clue, it was sitting on a table with like 50 other books scattered around, (not organized). She then tells me they want the book back. They follow us outside and the first lady that checked us out comes up to her and tries to hand her a random book they had grabbed..Of course she did not want that book, and is still holding on the book that we have ALREADY purchased. Now to the part I have a real issue with: She then literally RIPS the book out of my child’s hands. Anyone that knows my kid, knows she’s fairly strong for her age and she sat there for a good 15-20 seconds trying to get it out of her hands before she finally rips it away from her and then we bring up how we’ve already purchased it, and that’s the book she wanted. It’s not our fault.. Plus, they literally receive all of their stuff from DONATIONS for FREE.

My child is now crying and upset. And she still didn’t want that new book because she STILL wanted the book we PURCHASED. The lady was basically like sorry we need this back because it apparently was supposed to be apart of a set of books from an author that was “$15”. If it’s a set why are they not taped together somehow anyways

They hadn’t even said well just give the $ back, they just tried to hand her a new one and when she didn’t want it, she just ripped it (not just a grab, it was literally PRYED) from her hands & walked back inside with no resolution until I went in and asked for the $ back.

I’m all about supporting small businesses, but that is ridiculous. All over a book they got for FREE!!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! And ironically I’ve had 50+ people say they’ve had a horrible experience with their customer service.

used to go here all the time until they sold us a book my daughter really wanted 2 year old, and then proceeded to come outside and snatch it from her hands when they had sold us it. my daughter was screaming crying and the lady still took the book away no care in the world!
don’t forget all the stuff is donated to this place, didn’t even offer us a refund I had to go get the refund myself.
Never will I go back

Young woman was kind and polite older woman was blunt, callus, and unappreciative. (I cleaned there store for over an hour while waiting for my wife). When I wanted to negotiate the price of a dvd was told simply “ then put it back”. The end

One of my favorite thrift stores. I go here all the time and always get lots of items (kids clothing and shoes, men and women jeans, fabric, books, you name it, they've probably got it). Prices seem to be a bit on the high end for a thrift store, but still pretty good. Store is always clean and was recently reorganized.

I like this thrift store. Great prices. I buy different material there. Plus other goodies. I put blankets together. Take them there in October. They either sale them or donate them to who needs them. Keeps me busy.😎😎😎
