I grew up in Eldon and I love this place, even though I'm giving a 1 star review. The reason for that is the food. Some things on the menu are good, but the menu is way too large and leads to poor food quality.

For example, today I just went in and got this fish strip basket. Theres spots of flour all over them, and they taste rotten or something, I spit out what little I ate when i used to love getting these.

Another issue is containers for fries, theres no bag, just in a little plastic container with your cheese or chili in the same thing, which usually just ends up spilled all over your car because you have to drive.

Pretty disappointing, and could be much better if you had a kitchen manager. I have 8 years of experience and would be happy to come and fix one of my favorite hometown restaurants.

Sweet worker ladies but 1/10 on that cheeseburger they gave me. It was very obviously microwaved and the chicken strips took 15 minutes to deep fry, then served overcooked. One basket of fries had no salt, the other had 7 times too much salt. Spent $19 for the 2 baskets. I'm always scared to go back in and stick up for my food because I'm somehow always too aggressive after paying 2 hours' worth wages for bad food...

Food is over cooked in over used and rancid fryer oil. Counter service was poor and unattentive at best. Kitchen was not clean and lots of grease buildup on the walls and ceiling.
My husband and I could not finish our fried fish meals because the fish was over cooked and was extra tough. Hush puppies were rock tough. Fries tasted awful due to the rancid oil.

Great little place to eat, and we will have to go back a lot to try it all. The marshmallow Pepsi here I have never seen before and it is amazing. It is so smooth tasting. I want other places to do this now.

Definitely would recommend going here.

We were a large group and they handled it like champs. The banana split looks just like on the picture. Marshmallow Pepsi is extremely sweet but balanced. It's not a float, just flavored. I had a BLT which was served on a round hamburger style bun--a questionable decision, but it has lots of bacon.

We stopped in today for lunch. Busy place. Had the special, pepperjack bacon cheeseburger and fries. The food was good. The only complaint is that the bathrooms were nasty. Told the people working about them and 40 minutes later another man told them the same thing.

Small fast food joint. The girls working were super sweet. Food tasted okay. My burger patty was still a little pink but they did load the sandwich up with crispy bacon. I liked the seasoning they use on their fries. You have to pay for refills on your drinks. We also felt they charge a bit much for the portion size that we received on our food.

Stopped in today for a quick lunch after a long day on the lake yesterday. I ordered a footlong chili-cheese dog, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and chili cheese fries. No, all this food wasn't for me, but it sounded good to soothe yesterdays drinking pains. The chili dog was good, but slightly on the thin side. The other menu items were typical of small drive in fried food. It's really hard to mess up fried food.

The restaurant was clean and the girls at the counter were helpful and seemed happy to be there. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes and everything was hot and fresh. Good little place to stop by if your hungry and want to grab a quick bite to eat.
