My boyfriend and I had a late Valentine's Day celebration here last weekend and overall the experience was pretty wonderful. We stayed in the Evergreen King room and really enjoyed the fireplace and overall ambiance of the room. The location of the Inn was also super convenient. We walked down to Strawberry Creek and were able to follow it all the way to the Idyllwild Brewpub--about a 7 minute walk that was beautiful the whole time. The only downside was that there were come cleanliness issues with the room--a few small stains on sheets and pillow case. Also, we had issues working the heater but that easily could have been user error! We would definitely stay here again (we just might bring our own bedding or something)!

I had an amazing experience in the Creekside Cabin, all the possible amenities we could've needed were all here! The two ladies at the front desk were so nice and very helpful throughout my stay. Creek side trail that leads to the center of town (10min walk to town on the side walk). Common area was very cozy and had a very warm feeling, the outside court yard was clean and included some benches, swing and a gazebo! Definitely recommend staying here for your next get away.

The room we stayed in was old (Poppy), one of the original, but although old with creaky floors, it had charm. It felt like an old English B&B. It was clean but the bed was a bit too firm. Personal preference on that I know. The property was very nice, rustic, and offered several little spots to hang out. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would go again.

Newer facility. I didn't appreciate the bait and switch with the reservation. Since these hotels are owned by the same people I made the reservation on the Idyllwild inn website. Primarily because we had stayed there before and loved the location right in the village. Only to find out this is a completely separate hotel and one half a mile down the road. The front desk clerk at the Idyllwild inn was super sweet. We arrived early and she told us that our room at the other hotel was ready and available since they share the same system. Then we got to the hotel the young woman at the front desk at the strawberry Creek inn lied to us and told us the room wasn't ready. We told her that the other hotel had told us it was indeed ready, she magically said that it has just been changed and then it was available for check in for a small fee. The rooms were new enough but were incredibly dark and since all the rooms are on the same level you have to keep all the windows closed and the blinds down if you don't want people looking in.

The website for the deluxe king suites was deceptive and misleading.It showed a a picture of the ember room and stated that all the deluxe king suites shared the same layout and amenities. I booked the strawberry patch room. Upon arrival we saw the room consisted of a king bed and one small rocking chair. There was a mini refrigerator and coffee maker.|This is NOT a suite.I let reception know and we were moved to the Idyllwild Inn.|The website needs to reflect the truth.|The strawberry patch room is a king room NOT a king suite.|Mary Stacy

Husband and I stayed there recently, early March, and we loved our themed Santa Fe room. It was cozy and had a nice sky light above our bed to gaze at stars. It was also just outside of the main town, so it was nice and quiet. Water running through the Strawberry Creek just down the hill from our room. The inn was cool, would like to explore that more when the place is not under construction. We walked to the nearest cantina down the street and had really good food and played some pool. Overall very happy with our stayed. Would be interested to know how busy it is during on season warmer months.

Such a surprise. Clean and comfortable rooms with all the modern items you would expect in a boutique inn.

We stayed at the Strawberry Inn for one night. The Inn recently changed ownership and is not a bed and breakfast so no breakfast is provided. We had a room that was recently remodled and it was a nice room. There was a jucuzzi tub, spearate shower, microwave and plenty of room. The only negative is the room needed a refridgerator. There is a shared patio that overlooks the creek in the back of the hotel. There is a path that travels along the creek to the town center. We would stay here again.
