Chris knows stereo gear second nature. I told him exactly what I wanted to do: play records, play music off a computer, and be able to stream via Bluetooth. He set me up with a fantastic and simple system that does all three while sounding incredible. Now is the best possible time to get in there! Due to damages from our recent earthquake, Chris offered me one of a kind deals on floor equipment that has allowed me to ball on a budget! Really a treat to find such a knowledgeable person with such a vast array of HiFi equipment in our little town.

I drove 3 1/2 hours to check out 4 different sets of speakers that were in stock (a much better selection than anyone else within 4 hours of me). The owner (Chris) was extremely helpful and knowledgable. He helped point me in the right direction based on my feedback without trying to make a decision for me. I got an amazing set of speakers at a great price! The whole experience was great and I will definitely be adding more pieces in the very near future to round out my new home audio system. Next up, the matching center channel speaker and a new amp / receiver! Whether you are local or shopping from afar (he ships and drop-ships too) I highly recommend North Coast Audio!

One of the best audio shops anywhere, hands down. I had an awesome time looking at truly amazing and eclectic gear and getting good advice. You can't find this kind of selection or service just anywhere. Chris really knows his stuff and takes the time to explain things well and give advice on particular gear pairings, with knowledge and experience to back it up. Sampling different setups was a joy and I appreciated getting honest advice within my budget!

Chris is phenomenal! His equipment is top quality, and his knowledge is exceptional. We’ve bought 3 devices from him over the years and with each purchase, he teaches us more about ALL of our products, wired as well as wireless. He installed each of our purchases. He is a teacher, and never tried to sell us something unless it’s what we were asking for. We won’t ever buy audio or visual equipment from anyone else.

Over the years I have made a couple of purchases at Northcoast Audio: a Sony TV and a Sony receiver. Chris is a wealth of knowledge and stands by his products. He went the extra mile with me to resolve a settings issue with the receiver. His prices are pretty decent and he will match Amazon prices. His product line is higher quality than what Costco carries. No reason to not shop local and support this business. He offers installation or you can install it yourself.

Drove 5 hours from Southern Oregon to visit North Coast Audio in Eureka when I was looking to upgrade my speakers, because they had the largest selection of stereo equipment to choose from. Chris, the owner, had all of the speakers I wanted to audition and patiently played each pair with music I normally listen to. I finally listened to a pair of Magnepan speakers that totally blew me away and purchased. Chris went above and beyond. Will shop there again!

I drove up yesterday from Oakland to Eureka to hear a specific set of speakers that they had on display. Couldn’t find those speakers locally in my area . The owner, Chris, was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and very patient . He demonstrated the speakers I was interested in but also showed me two other ones to consider. He was very down to earth, with no BS . I ended up buying the speakers and also a turntable. I highly recommend working with him . No high-pressure sales or high-end audio snobbery. He carries a lot of very good quality lines . It was well worth the trip up north to Eureka .
