The school is fine but the parking is TERRIBLE. I am an off campus student and I drive from Frisco to get to my classes. Showing up and not being able to park anywhere makes me late to class and sometimes I end up having to skip all together. Very discouraging. I don’t even buy parking passes (over $100 every semester) because there’s no where to park anyway! Crazy.

Terrible parking lot. I pay $300/ year and have to wait 30' just to park. Plus their ridiculous prerequisite policy that I have every semester. I nearly late to register for classes I want because of that. All they care is money, charging so much for mandatory fee that add up to tuiation. Like why would i have to pay $1400/ semester for some hallway, international fee. On top of everything, their reset password every year is so annoying too. Don't trust all the 5 stars they have. Feel like i got scammed go to this school

Lovely university with beautiful landscape. I really enjoyed the water fountain in front of the library! Reminds me of the National Mall in Washington DC. The campus feels very student friendly. And there are lots of good restaurants around in Denton that are frequented by students. Denton is also known as a live music bar city with lots of home-brewed beer. I bet the students take full advantage of that! LOL

I'm surprised, so many one star reviews here. I agree it's no Harvard, but I wouldn't go as far as calling the University Of North Texas, an oversized community college, Come on?! I can only speak in my experience attending UNT's College Of Business and the instructors I engaged with. All considered tuition here is more affordable than most, pair that with highly qualified instructors I saw in classrooms, Id say you GET the most bang for your buck and then some. I was lucky enough to enroll just as the University completed construction of a new COB building. A hugely upgraded facility from what I expected, lucky timing I suppose.

Most importantly I truthfully enjoyed attending class, regardless of how hard we partied on Fry St. the previous night. NEVER imagined myself saying those words before attending this University.

Short version,
No one likes to pay for school, but tuition is relatively a "bargain" because the Dollar: IQ received ratio is excellent! My major was business; our building was brand new, and the professors I thought were brilliant. Bringing in CEO's of billion dollar business as our private guest speakers, sharing invaluable real-world insight found in no textbooks. Collectively the Universities CoB Professors and guest speakers elegantly bridge the gap many graduates might otherwize find difficult to cross, the transition from College to Career.

Just my opinion... I enjoyed the University Of North Texas

Had a great experience here. They worked with my previous credits from the military and I was able to graduate with Aviation Logistics in 2 years. Make sure to go for a BS degree, not a BA!

I went to UNT for PhD. In summer, Denton is a quite college town. But, in fall it's lively. I like the college very much - spacious. Newly built buildings such as college of business building and the new student Union gives college a modern (state-of-the-art) look. About 36,000 students in 2016. Rec center is really good!
