ST Math is a great program, especially if the students master the concepts independently with only minor scaffolding. It really helps them with the math we teach in the classroom, especially two-step word problems. I just wish there was a reading component to compliment our Language Arts series as well!

Attached is a photo my class last year all earning 100% in ST Math (and many went beyond with the Challenges). It was the second and first full year I used ST Math. 😊

ST Math is awesome because of its visual instructional program that builds a deep conceptual understanding of math through rigorous learning and creative problem solving. ST Math is one of my favorite resources to use with my kindergarten students! I love that it presents math concepts in visual ways - often different than the way I might teach them! My ESL students thrive in the language-free environment, and the self-paced model allows students to spend all the time they need on a topic without being forced to move on or to stay back. It helps them build problem solving strategies. Even more importantly, because of the lack of written and verbal directions, I don't have to worry about my ELL students understanding the directions. We have had ST Math at our school for many years. The kids love to play Jiji's games and the teachers love how it connects math concepts visually without any reading/language to get in the way. Personally, I love teaching a lesson and showing them how it "works" visually. Some concepts are hard to teach without a visual component. Kids learn by doing and real application and ST Math does just that. Thank you for continuing to research what works best and updating the program.

ST Math has given my students the tool to conceptualize and understand math concepts in a way that boosts understanding and comprehension of core curriculum. Often when we learn concepts, they are able to connect to work completed on the program and can tell me how they solved it with Jiji, and then solve it on worksheets or homework. They are always excited about using the program and I can see how much it positively impacts their work in class! Thank you for giving them such a concrete way to "see" math!

ST Math is a wonderful program. We have used it to great success and have seen growth in our students. With our English language learners, their math abilities and number sense have improved greatly- ST Math takes the language out of the equation for them.
