The complex where this building is situated is beautiful, with its inside park area that is surrounded by trees and benches. Being disabled walking with a walker today, I would have traded all those amenities for more roads where carts would transit more often. Actually, there are roads and carts but they are parked in the garage. After walking what felt like a mile I sat at a bench outside the building. Employees actually showed up to drive the carts but maybe not to work. Because I am waiting for the elevator to be fixed- I am sitting in a bench. I observed a cart driver spending 43 minutes talking and laughing with 2 other employees. Obvious I am upset for the lack of care for the patients that have to go to these buildings with walking disabilities. The university of Miami may want to observe hospitals that have a valet system with simple carts for their patients and even employees. What a sad is the facade of this well known medical complex.
