I have been going to this store once a year every year for the last 11 years while visiting my wife's family in California. The owner Charlie is the kindest soul you will ever meet or talk to.i just stopped here 2 or so days ago just to seen him again.Sadly due to covid,construction,change and few other issues it will be closing so won't get to visit it next year 😐 luckily Charlie has his own radio station so still can hear him.

As a local I used to shop here a lot back in the late 80s and early 90s when I lived in Grover City and going on Dead tour.
I moved away in 1998 but just returned this year and WOW! It's just like walking back in time and it was great to see Charlie again.

When I need incense I go here.. big selection and low prices.. Owner Charlie, a Vietnam Veteran but also a true humanitarian hippie! Best Eceletic Head Shop on Central Coast. Check out Charlie's RADIO station at 107.9 FM.

I love Hole in the Sky! The smell of incense, all the cool stickers, posters and blacklight posters, cards, buttons, tie-dye cloths, wood +glass pipes, and so much more. The radio is always playing stuff that just goes with the vibe of the shop. It feels like home every time I go in. I don't live in Grover Beach otherwise I would be working there or a routine customer. But I live close enough that I make the trip and stop in every summer and every fall. My Mom took me into this shop when I was in 7th grade. I'm 42 now and it's one of my own daughter's favorite stops. Highly Recommended!!!

One of the best places I've ever been to. Everyone was extremely friendly. One of the guys showed me a cool Beatles album with different versions of their songs that I'd never heard before. They gave me some screens and a cool pouch free of cost. I've never even left a review before but these guys were amazing.

Love this place! Love Charlie! I have been shopping here for gifts and random stuff forever since the days with Kristie being behind the register and I had to have an adult go in with me. shop local it’s good for everyone!
