genuinely wasted two of my high school years here. in my most vulnerable moments the school couldn’t even really help, in multiple situations . They’re quick to feed into your reputation but not quick to come up with solutions . It’s ghetto, full of drama, and academically underwhelming. It’s clean and pretty sure but that goes but so far when the rest of the building is dirty.

If you’re passionate about theatre that may be different academically for you, but as an art student and someone who loves science this school wasn’t for me . The staff was sideways with me, acting like they don’t do this job professionally, they don’t let you out for lunch, the teachers don’t be wanting to actually explain things in depth, there’s barely opportunities outside of theatre here , and honestly the atmosphere is depressing. I loved my friends and select staff I know genuinely tried to make my life easier, but it lacks the element of community. For a school that claims to promote unity , they only really have town halls once every couple of months and therefore people from different grades don’t interact, leading to a upperclassman hate the lower class man and intimidate them purposefully culture.

Love this school! My son chose it over a SHSAT school & has been so happy. Incredibly kind staff and students, wonderful productions, inspiring art. You walk in and feel the creativity and joy. My theater-loving son has come to love subjects I never thought would interest him (Forensics, Chemistry & others). Very grateful.

I'm a freshman that attends Gramercy Arts High School, this school is a real door opener. All the students and staff are top tier. The students there are diverse, creative, and overall good kids even though once in a while we have our slips up such as fights, or behavior problems but they get fixed quickly because of how much the teachers care about the students. I know staff at the school is new aspect for some junior and senior teachers. The principal is always here to help and even if she busy at the moment, she's always a email away. The guidance counselor helps everyone all the time and she is very understanding and nice. The college room is always open for questions and the only downside I could think about this school is the fact it's on the 7th floor. All art and performance art students get 10 extra credit towards there final transcripts I see nothing wrong with that, it helps a child wanting to get into a art/ performance art college have better chances of getting in. The school has a bright and new fresh start and I hope parents send their children to this school. Nevermind this school is ass... (I'm a senior now...)

You cant go to anyone in this school for help, no one cares about the students. The principal has her priorities wrong, white teachers saying the N word going unnoticed and not dealt with. She looks for any reason to make a student fail in their time there. Suspensions for almost half the school and the counselors don’t ever ever answer their emails. Ms. Brody the geometry is by far the worst teacher i and many students have ever come across.
The school does not want students to succeed at all!!!!

I am the grandparent of a sophomore who is about to be a junior. Fortunately I've had little interaction with the school because they have been punctual with all the students needs. I first want to thank the whole staff for the professionalism and attentiveness to the students. They go above and beyond their job title and pay scale to educate their students. I've contacted the school two times, and I was greeted with courtesy and assistance. I'm pleased and thankful for the education and assistance this school is giving my granddaughter to prepare her for the future. Thank you Gramercy Arts High School.

I love this school so much. I have met some amazing teachers and i have made amazing friendships here. This school has helped me grow mentally and physically as a person making me the hard worker I am today. The teachers here are so dedicated to helping the students Whether it's with school or personal problem you can count on the teachers to help. The staff are amazing and the principal is an amazing person, she is willing to hear out students and hear ideas we have to improve our school even more. This is the best choice i have made.

Zero stars. 2021-2022 Bathroom stay locked, my daughter had to go over to Whole Foods to use the bathroom. Disorganized school, guidance counselor never responds ( Ms Edwards) I filled out paperwork with home address many times and they still logged it incorrectly 🤦🏾‍♀️ best teacher is Mr Kim.
Transferred my daughter 2022 , the transfer was completed, Ms Cordero didn’t even bother to respond to my email saying the transfer is complete, so I sent my daughter to school, only to find out her access was denied. So she had to travel back to Brooklyn alone
