It seems that whatever problems happened with Origins Game Fair registration last year are even worse this year despite promises that things would be better. Six hours into the registration period and people have only been able to register for one game at most with many not even being able to do that. In addition, a sizable portion of events known to be scheduled are not even coming up on the website for selection. Unless Event Ready can somehow show that the error this year isn't on their end, I think GAMA needs to find themselves a different servicer.

As a end user for their Origins Game Fair software I have to say I would never recommend this company. What should have taken 15 minutes took 3 hours 45 minutes with the system totally inoperable most of the time. No ability to handle load spikes even though they knew it was coming as they have handled this event for several years.

Update 5/2/2018
Another year and another disastrous attempt at registration over two hours in and only one game selected. In fact it seems the software won't let you get more than one game. This is a worse mess than last year. NEVER use this company.

As an end user, I would say that Event Ready might be fine for small-scale events, but they are in way over their heads for managing events at a large-scale convention. For the last 22 hours, the event registration system has been broken with no word on when it will be fixed. This has happened multiple years in a row. At first almost everything was unavailable and then about 8 hours into the process there were claims that it was 'fixed,' but all users report that over half the events are missing from the database. A sloppy job made worse by a failure to communicate about timelines. Last year they claimed they suffered from unforeseen DDOS attacks but this year the experience has been worse than ever. Not ready for prime time.

If zero stars were an option I'd rate them a zero. The biggest event I would feel comfortable for them to handle would be the birthday party of the world's least popular third grader.

They handle event registration for GAMA's Origins Game Fair. Every year they find new ways to fail and turn that process into an hours long ordeal. If you're thinking if using these guys you should really ask about their work for Origins.

Event Ready manages the registration process for Origins Game Fair. This is the second year in a row that they have had problems with failures and errors within the software. It was promised last year that this would be fixed. It was said that security would be added to prevent attacks and make the experience smoother for users. An hour and a half into registration, no movement and no ability to register. As someone who simply wants a working system, you would think that after 11 months that improvements would fix this issue. I do not recommend them for large events in the way that they handle the process. Until the issue is corrected and a proper explanation given as to why this has happened twice, I will stay with with my review. I expected better.

More like EventNotReady. This is the second year in a row that Origins Convention events have been a slogged out, machine chugging error fest. I signed up for an event to later come back and it was just gone from my Itinerary. I paid for it. It was on my receipt, yet entirely gone from my itinerary. I had to sign up for it again, but the price had increased, so I had to pay again. Now I have a chore when I get to Origins to try to get that first events money back.

Like others, I'm here to talk about Origins Game Fair. Event sign ups for the convention literally started 21 hours ago. As of right now, only 3501 of the 6259 events are showing up on the website.

Honestly, I can understand the website crashing or chugging when sign ups first open. But then there was a problem where people could only sign up for a single event. That has now been fixed, but it doesn't matter if only half of the events are displayed. I could also understand if this all took place over the course of an hour or two. But it's been over 20 hours.

It seems like it would be easy to keep track of attendance each year and how many people are likely to sign up for events in advance based on past metrics.

Also, the fact that their slogan seems to be "every event, every time" is a real slap in the face.

Event Ready ran registration for Origins Game Fair, and it was a complete mess. Nobody could utilize the searches. Every once in a while, searches would work, and then people couldn't add events. When that would finally work, people couldn't check out. I have been trying to pay for hours now, and I still cannot do it. If this is "state of the art" software as they advertise, then software in this world is completely useless.
