One of the first entirely student funded and managed maker spaces in the world, founded around 1974, when the term hadn’t even been coined yet. Due to severe physical space shortages MITERS is restricted primarily to the MIT community, but guests from out-of-town maker spaces are usually welcome to visit, especially to Friday evening get-togethers.
