I made the terrible mistake of choosing one of their “most challenging” programs, the infamous CRG, but it was basically a worse than twitter experience. Imagine yourself in an echo chamber that lost touch with reality, circulate poisonous ideas, attacks any one who dares challenge their insanity, and if you’re into these unfortunate / mad ways of (un)living you’ll fit right into UvA’s so-called social and behavioural science.

Multiple professors and students showed little, to no consideration of decent thinking, honest assessment (much less research), quality writing, integrity of discussing our world’s events and basically wasted the entire course’s time on woke rhetoric.

I still finished the degree to stick it in their face and basically tell them that they don’t get to chase me away with their contempt and hatred, but it was at the cost of my distress.

If I could choose again I’ll go to Leiden or any other university that still believes in the value of the academy: such as integrity and honest research.

In short, if you’re ideologically driven to destroy anything decent western societies managed to establish with petty white guilt and contempt, cartoonish self-grandiosity, hatred of beauty and values, and deep interest in gaining money and academic credit through ad hominem attacks and all sorts of logical fallacies, then this “University” is a good place for you.

Love the location of this university. It's sometimes difficult to find the correct room but u think that's what gives it charm, lots of little corridors and stairs. And the smell as you go upstairs towards the legal library, is amazing.

Hidden in the centre of Amsterdam lies a hidden gemstone; the Oudemanhuispoort of the University of Amsterdam. An oasis of tranquility and learning. With it's beautiful historical structure and nice garden it's a place to cool down and sort your mind.

And when you want a quick bite you will get a culinary experience you will not forget quickly, within the central hall is hidden away a small cafeteria called the 'Amsterbammetje'! With a down to earth Amsterdam attitude everything you see is prepared with love and served with a smile.

It maybe an old building but the hygienic standard is kept up to a high levels by Victoria Schoonmaak and all its wonderful hard working cleaners.

Come and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

This is one of the many University of Amsterdam locations in the city. Some of their humanities departments are located here. The location is quite nice, however it is enormously difficult to find the exact location of the building or the room you are searching for. The signs are not very helpful either. You can however spent some relaxing minutes in the inner court, which is quiet and very pleasant. And you will have the chance to observe the Amsterdam student life on the spot.
