After reaching out and going through an online troubleshooting process with Seagate, Seagate referred me to a company that charged a minimum of $950.00 just to start. I then reached out to four contractors (3 local and 1 in SO-CAL/$300Data Rec). $300 Data Recovery was the only company that had a well-designed website with very clear and data-backed statistics for possible solutions. The local companies wanted me to bring in my 2TB, Seagate, Go Flex Desk HDD for a diagnostic (their "sales reps" called me several times). Each time I spoke with them, their responses changed slightly (I had nothing in writing), and estimated costs were $500-$2,700, even though I had already explained in detail the scenario and issues with the HDD. It seemed like their primary objective was to get my HDD diagnosed, which is completely reasonable, but what they never mentioned is that once the factory seal is broken on your HDD, the minimum cost for another company to look at your HDD would increase by at least $300. So essentially, you’re stuck with them and are now at their mercy for whatever they wanted to charge. No thanks.
$300 Data Recovery made no upfront promises, but after filling out the "chances" form and getting a response that included data backed statistics and possible outcomes that I was able to verify as reasonable, I decided to move ahead with the with the $300 Data Recovery solution. I dropped off my HDD and a new SSD (transfer drive), staff were very professional and technically knowledgeable, timely email updates were issued as promised (even during the nearby fires), Issue-The HDD had a faulty PCB board (100% of files recovered), HDD and SSD mailed back within one week (I could see corrosion on PCB), total cost $320.00, including insured shipping.

After my back up drive died 3 years ago I took it to two different computer repair shops and was told it was junk, cannot be repaired. I contacted a data recovery service found online and was quoted a range of $1000 to $2000 to attempt a repair with no guarantee of success. Luckily I did not dispose of it when recently I came across a referral to $300 DataRecovery. com. After reviewing their website and reviews I sent in one of their "chances of repair" forms. I received notice the next day that I had a greater than 85% chance of getting most if not all of my data back. They even included a no charge guarantee if they were unsuccessful. I took a chance and submitted my drive. What a professional experience! They kept me informed every step of the way, advised what repairs would be needed, advised that I would need a new donor drive for them to salvage parts and other than the cost of the donor drive did not charge extra for rebuilding my old drive to extract the data. After a few weeks I received 100% of my recovered data. The charges were exactly as listed on their flat fee schedule and the final cost was far less than any other data recovery service found online and less than what I had budgeted. If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would. These people are honest, straight forward in their approach to doing business and deserve all the high ratings given by other customers. If I ever need this type of service in the future, or have friends and associates needing same, my first and only recommendation would be to contact $300 Data Recovery.com

My experience was amazing with $300 Data Recovery. My daughter's iphone experienced being stuck in a "boot loop" with no backup. It was completely fried and could not even turn on. Apple suggested another site that they are affiliated with to the tune of at least $3,500. I found $300 Data Recovery and reached out. I want to send my endless gratitude to 300 DDR they were able to recover 4 years' worth of data/pictures that I had on my Samsung 860 EVO SSD. I was told by another data recovery company here in Germany that the controller was the problem in the SSD and it was deemed "unrecoverable" due to the controller and encryption that the Samsung 860 EVO SSD series has. For a whole week, I contacted multiple data recovery labs in Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, South Korea, and the U.S and was told that there was nothing that they could do to recover my data due to a dead controller (which is true for a dead controller in the Samsung SSDs), was quoted prices that ranged from the $750 to $1650 (over the phone without any official documentation) or was straight up ignored. After searching on digital data recovery Reddit, I saw that various users recommended 300DDR (and I saw 300DDR themselves commented on multiple posts on data recovery Reddit as well) as they were transparent with their customers and affordable compared to other data recovery companies.

After contacting 300DDR, I filled out their chances form, described my issues, and asked them questions about my SSD, and they were transparent with me. After they accessed my chances form. They deemed my SSD with a 50% chance recovery rate. If the controller was the problem then there was nothing that they could do, even a chip-off recovery is impossible for this type of SSD. But if the controller wasn't the issue they previously worked on my type of SSD 34 times with a 100% recovery rate. And they quoted my recovery and transfer drive price on the same form ($375)! After reading that and sending my SSD to their lab in Cali, they gave me constant updates when it arrived in their lab! They were able to access the data on my SSD within an hour of working on it and backed up my data within the same day!

Even before my SDD/transfer drive arrived back in Germany they told me there was a 2-week grace period for them holding on to my data backups and wanted to confirm with me that I could access the data on the transfer drive (which I was able to!). I appreciate the transparency, constant flow of communication, A1 customer service, and willingness to recover the data on my SSD! They were able to alleviate 2 months of stress I had from losing my data suddenly! I highly recommend 300DDR as they don't quote customers after they successfully customers to scam them! And they're more reputable and affordable than a lot of other data companies out there! (And always have backups for your data!)

This business sounded too good to be true when researching online, but it really only cost $300 total to recover the data off of my M.2 SSD with partition failure. I initially thought this business wasn't an option due to them being based in California, but their mail-in service is very well developed. They provided excellent and descriptive communication throughout the entire process, with very prompt responses too. Many other data recovery businesses will try to upsell and essentially hold your failed storage device for ransom, but $300 DR looks out for consumers in ways I didn't think was financially viable for a business like this. If you have any data loss issues I can't recommend this company enough!
